The Sphere Gallery · New York · Est. 2015
Philippe Hoerle-Guggenheim founded The Sphere Gallery in New York in 2015 with a singular vision: to create a refined yet dynamic cultural destination where perception, culture, and imagination converge. A third-generation art enthusiast, his passion for collecting was passed on to him by his grandmother and mother — both avid collectors who instilled in him a deep admiration for the old masters, an endless curiosity for the new, and an insatiable appetite for the treasure hunt.
"Art must challenge the senses — it must make you stop, look twice, and feel something you didn't expect."
Since the gallery's founding, Philippe has championed the crossover of street art and high contemporary culture, forging relationships with major figures including Richard Hambleton, Retna, Domingo Zapata, Peter Beard, Damien Hirst, and others — placing their works into the most significant private and institutional collections in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Philippe has been profiled by Artnet News, The Daily Front Row, Resident Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal, and has spoken on the international art market at TEDx. He is widely regarded as one of the most important names in the contemporary and street art space.

The inaugural exhibition features Retna — "Articulate & Harmonic Symphonies of the Soul" — earning widespread acclaim from Hypebeast, Arrested Motion, and the broader art world. The gallery instantly establishes itself as a leading voice at the intersection of street art and high contemporary culture.
The gallery develops a strong international presence with locations and programming in Madrid, Spain; Napa Valley, California; and Palm Beach, Florida. Major works by Richard Hambleton, Peter Beard, Domingo Zapata, Damien Hirst, and The Connor Brothers are placed in private and institutional collections across three continents. Philippe leads the gallery's presence at Art Basel Miami and other international fairs.
In September 2025, The Sphere Gallery launches its permanent space at 278 Beach Street in Laguna Beach, California — continuing the vision of a refined yet dynamic cultural destination on the Pacific Coast. The opening features celebrated New York artist Alexander Yulish, followed by Stanley Casselman's acclaimed "Quantum Abstractions" exhibition, praised by Artnet News as elevating the artist's visual expression to new heights.
